EUnetHTA

The EUnetHTA adaptation toolkit has been developed to aid HTA agencies in the adaptation of HTA reports that are a synthesis of evidence. It contains checklists of questions and resources to enable the assessment of a report’s relevance, reliability and transferability.

Currently, the toolkit is in the form of a word document. It will be developed into something more interactive, in the context of the planned web-based clearing house.

It consists of 6 of modules: one generic and 5 specific to certain parts (or domains) of HTA reports. The generic module ("Speedy Sifting") enables the rapid assessment of the relevance of the report.

The five specific domains relate to technology use and development, safety, effectiveness, economic evaluation and organisational aspects. The reliability and transferability of information and data within these 5 domains can be assessed using these parts of the toolkit.

The toolkit output is adaptation material that can be incorporated into a new framework for an HTA report in a target setting.
