It does not imply a “not so important” HTA.

Pre-assessment

This really means a draft or a first approach to a subject. It may mean an already performed “pilot study”, but usually means a draft of something to be thoroughly performed later on.
http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/94#comments Rapid Review, Mini HTA, Pre-assessment Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal Portugal Tue, 06 Sep 2011 08:55:05 +0000 E.Guegan 94 at http://www.eunethta.be/glossary Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/80
Health Technology Assessment can be translated to “Descrição de Tecnologias da Saúde”or “Avaliação de Tecnologias da Saúde”. The first stresses more the descriptive part of the assessment, without critical evaluation. The second takes into account some type of basic evaluation, which sometimes do not include judgment. The second one is the most near the English version.

Health Technology Assessment is more like “There is a health technology which…”

http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/80#comments Health Technology Assessment, Health Technology Appraisal Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal Portugal Tue, 06 Sep 2011 08:33:06 +0000 E.Guegan 80 at http://www.eunethta.be/glossary Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/72
Guidance is best translated to “Orientação” or “Guias”. The first one is the nearer to English version. Nevertheless, it is very similar lexically to the next word Guidelines which in Portuguese has been translated to “Normas de orientação” for some time now.

Guidelines has been translated to “Normas de orientação” and the term is well consolidated in our country.

Protocol has long been translated into “Protocolo” in our country.

Advice is best translated to “Aconselhamento” which literally means counselling in Portuguese, and is much nearer the English version than “Conselhos”.
http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/72#comments Guidance, Guideline, Advice, Protocol Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal Portugal Tue, 06 Sep 2011 08:22:04 +0000 E.Guegan 72 at http://www.eunethta.be/glossary Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/37
Conflict of Interest

http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/37#comments Conflict of interest, Competing interests Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal Portugal Mon, 05 Sep 2011 14:44:11 +0000 E.Guegan 37 at http://www.eunethta.be/glossary Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/26
Commissioning
We usually use it as someone (or Institution) whohais been put in charge of a specific project, or designated to lead the project e.g. “Infarmed has been commissioned to perform a thorough inspection on Pharmacies”. “The Ministry of Health is commissioning The Health Observatory for finding why there is a huge waste on drugs”.

Planning

http://www.eunethta.be/glossary/?q=node/26#comments Commissioning, Planning, Purchasing Institute of Molecular Medicine, Portugal Portugal Thu, 01 Sep 2011 15:18:48 +0000 E.Guegan 26 at http://www.eunethta.be/glossary
